The law is alreadyon your side. What is missingis knowing where.

24 situations that really do happen: a flight scrapped the night before, a parcel that never came, an account nobody will erase. You decide, you fall for the myths, and you leave with the European text that proves you right, its official link, and the redress that genuinely exists.

Free, no account, no advertising. Four minutes per situation. Nothing to install, and the site replays without a connection once you have visited it.

The parcel that never came

A backpack paid €74, a tracking page frozen on “in transit”, and a seller pointing you at the courier. The European text says the opposite: delivering is the seller's job, and the risk travels on their back, not yours.

27countries, one textthe member states of the European Union, with no national variant

An EU Regulation applies in the same way in all 27 countries of the Union. This site teaches that common baseline and nothing else.

How it works

We do not explain the law to you. We put you inside it.

A file opens, you take the decisions, and the official text arrives exactly when it is useful: just after you got it wrong, or just after you got it right.

The file opens

Items to read, not articles to memorise

An email that landed at 8.57 p.m. An app screen where only one button is large. A refusal letter in two very polite paragraphs. Those are the items you read, in the order they arrive.

The traps

The wrong answers are the real myths

“My ticket cost €42, they cannot give me back more.” “I took another flight, so it is settled.” “A technical problem is an extraordinary circumstance.” These sentences are everywhere. Here you can choose them, and you see exactly what they cost.

The stamp

The verdict lands with its text, never without

Every verdict shows the official extract it rests on, translated into plain words right beside it, and the address of the source. Normally an official stamp is there to refuse you something. Here, it is for you.

What you take away

A printable sheet and redress that exists

At the end: the list of the rights you invoked, each with its source, a sheet to print and slip in with your ticket, and the four steps of real redress: the airline, the national body, the European Consumer Centre, the small claims procedure.

Overhead signs in a European airport concourse point to the terminals and the baggage hall, above a blurred crowd.
The setting of the first situation: an airport concourse, and a flight that has vanished from the board.

The board

6 families, 24 situations

One situation, one question people actually type into a search engine, one reflex to take away. Each family states the European texts it rests on, with their official address.

01Buying

02Travelling

03Your data

An account they refuse to close, a breach announced by email, marketing that never stops. The same Regulation, word for word, in all twenty-seven.

04Calling and browsing

05Getting care

A health problem a thousand kilometres from home. European coordination sets out what happens, and one number works everywhere.

06Studying and working

24 situation is playable today. The others are being written in waves, and each one passes the same source check before it exists on this site: a right without its official extract does not get published.

The principle

One Regulation, 27 countries, no variants

An EU Regulation applies directly and in the same way in every member state. It is not a goal to be transposed: it is the same text, with the same amounts and the same time limits, in Lisbon as in Tallinn. That is what makes a site like this one possible.

A Directive, by contrast, sets a minimum that each country must reach and may exceed. When a situation rests on a Directive, it says so, and it teaches only the baseline: everywhere in the Union, at a minimum. Your country may well do better; this site does not deal with that.

No country-specific right ever appears here. Not out of laziness, but because it is the only way to write a sentence that stays true for everyone, from one end of the Union to the other.

The principle, in full

Two locomotives standing under the glass roof of a large Central European railway station, the platforms nearly empty.
Rail passenger rights rest on a Regulation, like air passenger rights: the same text everywhere.

The proof

What you can check before believing us

Every right carries its source

267 citations for the single situation published so far, each with the exact extract copied from the official text and its address on EUR-Lex or Your Europe. A checking tool refuses to build the site if a right has no source.

No data collected

No account, no tracker, no request to any other server. No cookie banner, because there is nothing to consent to. Verifiable in thirty seconds, in the network inspector of any browser.

Free and reusable

Content licensed under CC BY 4.0, open data published as JSON. A teacher, a consumer association or a journalist can reuse all of it, without asking our permission.

The numbers are counted

Not one number on this page is written by hand: they are recalculated every time the site is built, from the content files, then published as they are. The corpus can be counted; traffic is not something we claim.

What this site is not

Four limits, written here rather than in small print.

  • It is not an official website of the European Union. It is an educational resource published by a French non-profit association, unconnected to the institutions, and it borrows neither their visual identity nor their authority.
  • It is not legal advice. The situations are teaching cases: they set out the common baseline, they do not handle your file, and they replace neither a legal professional nor a consumer association.
  • It is not a claims service. We take no step on your behalf and we take no commission. The redress links point only to official, free bodies.
  • It does not stay current by itself. Law moves: every situation carries the date it was checked, and the whole site is reviewed from end to end every six months.
