साफ़ सकारात्मक कार्य ढूँढ़ें
सहमति आपकी इच्छा का ऐसा इज़हार है जो आज़ादी से दिया गया, ख़ास, जानकारी के साथ दिया गया और एक ही अर्थ वाला हो, किसी कथन से या किसी साफ़ सकारात्मक कार्य से। “आगे चलते रहने से आप स्वीकार करते हैं” उन शब्दों में से किसी का ब्योरा नहीं देता।

पहले से टिक किए हुए खाने को कभी रज़ामंदी न समझें

गट्ठर से इनकार करें
दूसरी बातें सँभालने वाले दस्तावेज़ में सहमति के अनुरोध को बाक़ी हिस्से से साफ़ तौर पर अलग पहचाना जा सकना चाहिए, साफ़ और सरल भाषा में। और दस्तावेज़ का जो हिस्सा विनियम का उल्लंघन करता है, वह बाध्यकारी नहीं है, दस्तख़त कोई भी हो।

झुकने के बजाय कटने की धमकी का स्क्रीनशॉट लें
ऐसी सहमति की शर्त पर बाँधी गई सेवा जिसकी उसे ज़रूरत नहीं, वही वह पैमाना है जिस पर यह परखते वक़्त पूरा ध्यान देना होगा कि आपकी रज़ामंदी आज़ाद है या नहीं। जो स्क्रीन आपको धमका रही है वह एक सबूत है: उसे सँभालकर रखें।

जितनी आसानी से दी, उतनी ही आसानी से वापस लें
वापसी किसी भी वक़्त इस्तेमाल की जा सकती है, कोई वजह देने की ज़रूरत नहीं, और वह रज़ामंदी जितनी ही आसान होनी चाहिए। अगर रज़ामंदी ऐप में एक इशारे से हुई, तो वापसी भी वहीं होती है: माँगी गई रजिस्ट्री चिट्ठी एक चुंगी है, कोई नियम नहीं।

हद जानें: वापसी बीता हुआ दोबारा नहीं लिखती
वापसी उस प्रसंस्करण के कानूनी होने पर असर नहीं डालती जो उससे पहले सहमति पर टिककर हुआ। वह आगे का वक़्त काटती है। वैध रज़ामंदी से ढके बीते हुए को रद्द करने की माँग बाक़ी फ़ाइल को कमज़ोर कर देती है।

सबूत माँगें, फिर प्राधिकरण के पास जाएँ
सहमति का सबूत डेटा नियंत्रक का बोझ है: इशारा, तारीख़, दी गई जानकारी। अगर वे सिर्फ़ एक दावा पेश करते हैं, तो अपने देश के प्राधिकरण में शिकायत दर्ज करें: संघ का आधिकारिक पन्ना तीन महीने के भीतर जवाब बताता है।

रज़ामंदी जितनी ही आसान वापसी
आपको अपनी सहमति किसी भी वक़्त वापस लेने का हक़ है, यह आपको उसे देने से भी पहले बताया जाना चाहिए, और वापस लेना देने जितना ही आसान होना चाहिए। अंदर आते वक़्त का एक टैप बाहर जाते वक़्त रजिस्ट्री चिट्ठी नहीं बन जाता।

सहमति साबित करना उन्हीं का बोझ है
जहाँ प्रसंस्करण सहमति पर टिका है, वहाँ डेटा नियंत्रक को यह साबित कर सकना होगा कि आपने सहमति दी थी। पंजी की वह पंक्ति जो दावा करती है, बिना कोई इशारा, कोई तारीख़ या पहले दी गई जानकारी दिखाए, कुछ साबित नहीं करती।
